"Bluebird" is an independent feature film written and directed by Matthew Hardstaff, and filmed over several years with an army of volunteers. This psychological thriller entered the festival circuit in late 2014 and immediately garnered nominations in its first outing, including a win for its director. Since then, it has gone on to be an official selection of the Innovative Film Festival and the 2015 Toronto Independent Film Festival.
A missing woman returns with no memory of her ordeal and little memory of her life before. She struggles for answers and, in reconstituting who she was, Kate reinvents herself in a most unexpected way. 'Bluebird' is a psychological story exploring the nature of identity and the ways in which we each choose to express our love.
